GSRD visited project area in Long Bien

Hanoi, October 5, 2015

A delegation of GSRD Foundation (Netherland), the funding donor of the project "Sustainable livelihood for vulnerable groups in newly urbanized areas in Long Bien (Hanoi)", paid a visit to Long Bien on October 5, 2015.

Six representatives of GSRD visited three sale outlets and discussed with members of Dong Tam Agriculture Cooperative, 65 members of which benefited from the project. Talking to farmers at their sale points or on the field, donors could directly witness the impacts the project had made on local farmers and cooperatives. Thanks to the project' technical assistance and market link efforts, 75 farmers of Dong Tam Coop and Phuc Loi Collective Group could improve their safe vegetable production skills, their business prowess and develop a suitable model for selling their products.

All stakeholders of the project, especially farmers, look forward to more fruitful cooperation in the future.
